Football is the most popular sport ever. It has billions of fans from every country all over the world. Football is divided into different competitions. Competitions that are bigger than one another. The biggest and most popular of all football competitions is “FIFA World Cup“: This is by far the biggest sports competition in the world since the beginning of sports. World Cup is played by countries from every continent of the world.
There are different stages countries must pass through before qualifying for the World Cup. The fact is, every country can not play the Cup, so respective winners of group stages in each continent will represent the continent in the World Cup. Sometimes, like in South America, more that four countries will qualify in each group. Unlike Africa, where only the group stages winners will qualify for the Cup.
The second biggest football tournament is “UEFA Champions League“. This is played only in Europe by European football clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United and many more. It has hundreds of millions of fans across the world. There are other competitions like Domestic league cups and many more.
In every game, there’s always performance ratings for every player featured in a match. These ratings are awarded based on some actions taken by players in a match like scoring, assisting, dribbling, long ball, tackling and a lot more. The highest rating is 10.0. A player with such rating after a match has done incredibly well in the match.
These ratings are not shown on the TV. They’re are shown on some apps and websites by experts who take their time to analyse everything that goes on in a football match.
These websites and apps are what I will be talking about. How you can view your favorite players ratings in every match and how you can know every statistic about football.
Of course, everybody wants to see how good players perform after every match game to see players performances: The good player, the average player and the bad player. I also know you want to know statistic of a football team and competitions across Europe and other continents.

How to know football statistics.

1. Sofascore

This is my favorite of all time app to view everything about a football match and players. Goal scorers, assist makers, fouls committed and a lot more. Another interesting thing about this app is that it supports live chat. When a match is going on, you can discuss with other pundits following the same match. You can pour out your dissatisfaction and satisfaction. This app has over 5 million downloads on Android devices. It is rated 4.8 by 200,000 users.  Also keep in mind that you can view top three players’ ratings of popular competitions. There’s also a website for this app that works pretty fine. Let’s talk about all the features in this app that make it better than many others.

Features of Sofascore

Push notifications : This enables you to know a goalscorer immediately after a goal is scored. It automatically tells you the starting line up 1 hour before the kick off, it also notifies you 30 minutes before the kick off and tells you if a player has been red carded. All this happens only when you enable push notifications for a match.
FIFA World rankings :
Sofascore gives you latest FIFA World rankings from the 1 to 207. This allows you to know the best and the worst football nations in the world. Currently, Germany is the number one football country in the world based on their performances in recent years across all tournaments played among countries of the world. Germany is followed by Brazil.
UEFA club rankings :
UEFA ranking of leagues in Europe is also made available on this app. The best league in the world right now is La Liga (Spanish League), followed by Premier League (English League), according to UEFA. This is based on the performances of these teams in recent years in all competitions across Europe.
Favorites :
It also allows you to choose multiple favorite teams and players. This automatically enabled push notifications for those clubs and players. Every time your favorite teams play, you’ll receive notifications for line ups, goals scored, red cards, penalties and more. You will receive notifications of a player added to your favorite if features in a match.
Live Events :
You can easily see all the live matches being played in just a click!
Calendar :
You can jump to any day, week or month to see all matches fixed for that date.
Videos :
Yes, you can watch videos of goals minutes after it’s scored.
Player ratings :
This is one of the amazing features that make this app stands out among others. After 10 minutes of game played, the ratings will start displaying and will continue updating every time an action is taken by a player. A player rating can either decrease or increase.
League ratings :
This tells everything about a league in a season: the league table, the three top scorers, the three top assist makers, top three dribblers, top three teams with best passing accuracy, teams with most chances created and a lot more.
Live chat:
This is the most interesting thing about this app. You can discuss live with other pundits following the same match as you.
Voting for winners: Before a match starts, you can input your opinion on which team will win a match and will automatically save to your profile if you create one.
That should be enough about Sofascore. You can download it here and experience everything yourself. Alternatively, you can visit their website here.

2. Whoscored.com :

This is my number two favorite of all time and it is a website. Although there’s an Android app for this website but for now, it works better on the website. The Android app looks to be unstable because it is new and has only 100,000 downloads so far. Whoscored.com is perfect on the website. It has a lot of features just like Sofascore. You can also see players’ ratings and many more.
